Occupational Therapist

Rachel O’Mahony

Rachel, founder of Thrive Outside Occupational Therapy, is a dedicated and experienced occupational therapist, bringing a unique specialisation to the field: nature-based occupational therapy.

Rachel is the first occupational therapist in the country to formally train in the innovative CONTiGO approach, a methodology that champions holistic child development within natural environments. Her pioneering work in Ireland marks a significant advancement in therapeutic approaches for children.

Driven by a vision to build something meaningful, Rachel combines strategic foresight with hands-on experience, shaping the ethos of our practice. Her deep appreciation for the outdoors inspired her to create a therapy service where she can genuinely integrate her authentic self into the therapeutic process. Rachel facilitates a dynamic and supportive environment that encourages her clients to not only achieve developmental milestones but also to forge a deeper connection with nature, fostering overall well-being and a lifelong love for active, outdoor engagement.
